The movie is based on a book by Garrison Keillor and Jenny Lind Nilsson and is about the Green family who lives in Sandy Bottoms, Wisconsin.
Daughter Rachel goes to music school and so does Scott. He shyly invites her out, plays the cello at her father's consert and gives her a kiss.
We learn that he will be going to the same new music school next year as Rachel.
At the 2001 Young Artist Awards, Kyle Schmid was nominated for Best Performance in a TV Movie (Drama) - category Supporting Young Actor for his role as Scott.
