QuotesWritten by Denis Heaton & Travis McDonald, directed by James HeadCharles: Thank you for seeing me, Ms Nelson Vicki: When the headhunter wants to talk to you, how do you say no? Charles: I'm psychic! Vicki: I'm lactose intolerant. Vicki: He says there's going to be another murder. Mike: Actually, that one falls under homicides that hasn't happened yet. The pre-crime division is down the hall if you're interested. Vicki: Sherlock Holmes: When you eliminate all other possibilities, whatever remains, however improbable, is probably the answer. Mike: Okay - how about Occam's razor? The simplest solution tends to be the right one! Coreen: "The suspect pulls a sob from his ulcer"? Vicki: What? (takes Coreens notepad) A gun! He pulled a gun from his jacket. How is it that you can perform arcane rituals in dead languages and you can't read my handwriting? Coreen: Well, the lost language of Beothuk has nothing on your penmanship. Vicki: Henry - I don't know what you want me to tell you ... Alright, I checked - but Hallmark doesn't make a "Sorry I stabbed you in the gut, drank your vampire blood and performed a dark magic ritual" card. Mike: I don't believe you're here! Vicki: Wanna touch me? Mike: You know what's sad Vick? Vicki: Ah… the ending of Old Yeller? Mike: Sadder. Vicki: No, there's nothing sadder than the ending of Old Yeller Henry: It's a girl. Vicki: Is she ...ah .... ? (motions her hand across her neck) Henry: Very. Whoever did it took a souvenir. Vicki: Thank you for sparing me another Anne Boleyn reference. Mike: Nothing throws off suspicion more than patience. Henry: Would that be so horrible - if detective Celluci was right? Vicki: Okay, you know what? I get it - you're mad at me. Henry: I wouldn't say mad. Appalled, offended, indignant. Henry: I'm focused. Everything else is just noise. Vicki: You know what? I LIKE noise. Henry: And I'm more interestd in results. We need to find out what detective Celluci has learned. Vicki: That might be difficult - he's not exactly talking to me lately. Henry: Why don't I try him? Vicki: Yeah - if he's cutting me out, he's not going to talk to you. Henry: Don't be so sure about that. Vicki: Yeah ... yeah ... cause the two of you have always been sooo tight. Henry: We seem to have more in common with each passing day Mike: How long have you been lurking in the shadows? Henry: Long enough to see the Celluci magic in action. Mike: Is thre a point to this visit? Henry: I come bearing gifts: Charles Perkins. Mike: No thanks. I already got one. Mike: Up until the moment you called, I've been trying to figure out how I could have a dream about Henry Fitzroy that didn't involve a mallet and a stake! Vicki: Would you care to have a seat so we can discuss your dream? Mike: He used one of his minid tricks on me to get this address - didn't he? Vicki: You'd have to ask Henry about that. Mike: He's your vampire. Vicki: No, no no. He's not my vampire. And besides, I honestly don't know what he did. Mike: But you could have guessed. Vicki: Look, remember Sidney Perkins is a special needs son - I think he's involved in the murder, so can we argue about what Henry did or didn't do AFTER you've put out an APB on Sidney? Mike: There's not gonna be an 'after'. Henry: Why does motivation matter? They're already dead. Vicki: You know what? Your Batman routine's getting a little tired. We need to know why Sidney killed, because then maybe we have a chance og figuring out who his next target is. Henry: If Charles Perkins is one third od a whole person, and another third comitted the murder, then he's guilty. Case closed. Vicki: You see - now I wish it were that simple, but we have procedure for a reason. Henry: This coming from a woman who stole my blood for a magic ritual. Vicki: FINE! You wanna talk about this? Great! I was trying to save your life! Henry: I'd rather be dead ... than see you be seduced by dark magic. Vicki: Oh - I get it - you're trying to protect me from myself? Henry: No - you're the only one who can do that. Vicki: I vowed to protect you from evil .... I can't protect you from yourself. Henry: I never realsied until now detective, but we have something in common - she drives us both insane. Mike: Consistently .... one more thing Fitzroy - don't ever try to get in my head again. Henry: Trust me detective - it's the last place I want to be. Vicki: (still groggy) Hey - I'm really sorry about the whole dark magic ritual drinking your blood" thing. Henry: Apology accepted. Vicki: I can't keep doing this. Henry: Neither can I. TriviaOccam's Razor: "The simplest explanation is usually the best." I have no idea where the razor part comes in ... The Beothuk were native inhabitants of the island of Newfoundland QuestionsNone yet CommentsVicki didn't seem worried about leaving her fingerprints in Rebecca Perkins' house ... |
