Wow!!!! It’s amazing the creativity of the writers, of any writter that have done this type of series; and some of them are the ones the Martina wrote. I have to confess that at first I did’t like Blood Ties, wasn’t interesting in watching it. I was more into Moonlight, Supernatural with the Winchester Brothers adventures. But as a saying in spanish “La curiosidad mato al gato”, It took me one episode and it also got my attention. Just around that time moonlight stopped play on tv cable, apparently for the same reasons as Blood Ties. Ummm… I’m pretty much sure that to create a series of this kind is not easy and is more expensive than the normal type. And with the competiton is not that easy to make a choice weather to keep on with a series that might not be given the results that they hoped.. or just because some other channel choose to incorporate more tv shows (series) diversified so they get more hearing cause of the variety of TV shows and started to become a competition for the others.

There is nothing left to do but to hope that next year we’ll have the surprise to see Blood Ties again… some to dream with young man Fitzroy (can’t believe he’s 24… what type of cream does he use??ummmm) … some to wait to see how Vicki and the 480 yrs old vampire will end up… or simply for the fun of watching the characters Kate, Coreen, Henry, Sweet Mike, Vicki and the rest of the crew getting more interesting, the ideas, the special efects, the story behind the plot. Hopefully series like Blood Ties will never end… there always some tv show with supernatural matters. Blood Ties is not the first nor be the last… but sadly the characters will dies with them…

Hope everyone in here will get the chance to obtain what you all want… a new season of Blood Ties…

Love…

Karen

Thank you for the lovely message - and sorry it took a while to approve it.

Why one TV series stops and another continues is a mystery - but after the success of the Twilight movie, I think there are some people who wish they had kept Blood Ties.

As for seeing the cast again, well, hopefully we will all soon be able to enjoy the episodes on DVD.

The chance of new episodes - I'm afraid it would take a miracle!

It's sad to see such a good series being thrown in the trash. It has so much potential, unlike a lot of other tv-shows on air right now.
22 episodes without an end.. Vicky is crying desperate, angry Henry goes away from the city, suffering Cellucci is dismissed and a free Greater Demon is in town.. good..this is a bad CARNAGE!
It is frustrating not to know how it will end, if and when it will end.. ALL WORLD LOVE BLOOD TIES, his Story, character and cast! I think that all of us we are so affectionate to the cast, stuff and all the rest! It would be impossible not to love it and it would be really stupid to cancel it in this way.. in the last 10 years the cinema and tv were successful with movie/tv-series that tell us about vampires or supernatural world! Famous series like: Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Supernatural, Smallville, Dark Angel and every Mutants Movies drawn by comic books, Xmen, Fantastic 4, The Trilogy of Blade, Underworld, Harry Potter and now in theaters the Twilight Saga!!
Sure, they are ALL economic bets, it’s true, but they’ve been successful because they were GREAT Genial Ideas! it is so rare to realize a good idea and it is almost impossible to have a genial idea. NOW, they have it but the idea is slipping in their hands.
it is a really stupid thing to cancel the series and it is really sad and a waste that the production don't realize the economic capital that they have among their hands!
It's frustrating!!

This site is GREAT!! Good works!!

Believe me - production WANTED to come back, but Lifetime didn't renew the show and it wasn't possible to find other funding.
Yeah - it really sucks.

Since you're in the US, you can watch all the episodes on the video section of the Lifetime site.

Please tell me it's not to late to save the show - we're only half way thru the first season here in oz, and it has me well and truly hooked! this always seems to happen a show looks and is great an the networks can't seem to help themselves - get people hooked and then axe the show
Thanks for nothing!

I'm very afraid it is - the last episode filmed March 2007, and even though cast and crew were hoping to come back as much as you and I, Lifetime didn't renew the show and the financing fell through.

This is what I wrote to help save Blood Ties.

I’m writing to request that the much loved show Blood Ties not to be taken off the air & for more series to be created. The show is written and filmed in Canada with Canadian writers, actors and production company therefore it shouldn’t be affected by the writers strike. The show is well written, well acted, funny, camp, and dramatic where it has to be, keeping fans interested. Since the show has gone off new fans have been drawn in thanks to previous fans spreading the word on how great the show is. This is a rare show that encourages family togetherness. Families don’t spend as much time together as they used to, and it’s a good way to improve relationships within the family. How many families do you know that sits down together to watch anything? They did to watch Blood Ties.

The show has been so popular that merchandise has been brought out such as posters, t-shirts, mouse pads, hoodies, clocks, aprons, journals, calendars, mugs, & the first series on DVD. Blood Ties has recently been aired in India & on August 23rd it will air in Southeast Asia. Blood Ties has had a presence on HeyNeilsen, savemyshow.com & richlabont.net/tvvote/nominations, there has also been an article on E!Online. It’s an incredibly popular show & many fans would be disappointed if it was taken off the air. I’m an aspiring actress & a big fan of the show & I would love to get hold of a Blood Ties script to read & practice, if there is anyone that I could contact I’d love to know.
